Angelica Jones debuted in the animated series Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (1981) as an original character, then entered comics in Uncanny X-Men #193 (1985), created by Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr. A mutant who projects microwave radiation that manifests as intense heat and flame, Angelica was targeted by Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club as a covert weapon before breaking free. She became a founding member of the New Warriors and later served with the Avengers. Toy Biz produced Firestar in their Marvel figure lines; Hasbro Marvel Legends issued updated versions.
