Privacy Policy

FigurePinner ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Bubs960 Collectibles ("we", "us"). This privacy policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your choices.

What Data We Collect

Locally Stored Data Only. All data collected by FigurePinner is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage (IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local). We do not operate servers. We do not transmit your data to any external service.

The Extension stores the following data locally:

• eBay listing data — titles, prices, conditions, and URLs of action figure listings you search for. This data is scraped from publicly accessible eBay search result pages.
• Collection data — figures you add to your Vault, including condition and purchase price you enter.
• Search history — queries you add to the search queue.
• Extension preferences — your settings, filter selections, and UI state.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, address, phone number).
• We do not collect browsing history outside of eBay searches you explicitly initiate.
• We do not collect or access your eBay account credentials.
• We do not track your activity across websites.
• We do not transmit any data to our servers or any third party.
• We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking pixels.

eBay Scraping

When you run a search, the Extension opens eBay search result pages in background browser tabs, extracts publicly visible listing information (title, price, condition, item URL), and stores this data locally. The Extension does not access eBay's private APIs, does not log into your eBay account, and does not modify any eBay pages.

Pre-Order Scout

The Scout feature periodically visits publicly accessible product pages on retailer websites (Ringside Collectibles, BigBadToyStore, McFarlane Toys Store, Mattel Creations, Heels & Faces) to check for new product listings. Product information (name, price, availability, URL) is stored locally. No personal data is sent to these retailers.

Affiliate Links

Links to eBay, Amazon, and other retailers may include affiliate tracking parameters. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links do not collect personal information and are clearly identified by standard URL parameters (e.g., eBay's campid, Amazon's tag).

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local APIs. This data is sandboxed by Chrome's security model and is only accessible to the FigurePinner extension. No data is transmitted over the internet except the standard HTTP requests to eBay and retailer websites when you initiate searches or Scout scans.

Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by:

• Clicking "Clear DB" in the FigurePinner dashboard
• Uninstalling the extension (Chrome automatically removes all extension storage)
• Clearing browser data via Chrome Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data

Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• tabs — to create background tabs for eBay searches and Scout scans
• storage — to persist your collection, preferences, and search data locally
• scripting — to extract listing data from eBay and retailer pages
• alarms — to schedule periodic Scout scans and keep the service worker alive during searches
• host_permissions for ebay.com, ringsidecollectibles.com, zombiesailor.com, creations.mattel.com, mcfarlanetoysstore.com, bigbadtoystore.com — required to access these sites for scraping

Children's Privacy

FigurePinner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the Extension evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
