Alex Summers first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #54 (1969), created by Arnold Drake and Don Heck. The younger brother of Cyclops, Alex has the mutant power to absorb ambient cosmic radiation and release it as waves of plasma energy through concentric rings on his costume. Unlike Cyclops, Alex cannot feel his own blasts, though they are deadly to others. He led the government-sponsored X-Factor team in the early 1990s alongside Polaris, Multiple Man, Strong Guy, and Wolfsbane. Toy Biz produced Havok in their X-Men lines; Hasbro Marvel Legends covered multiple versions.
