About This Figure

Hasbro's crown jewel collector line — BAF pieces, comic-accurate decos, and a release cadence tied to MCU film cycles that makes wave timing as important as the figure itself.
Mantis first appeared in Avengers #112 (1973), created by Steve Englehart. Born to a Vietnamese mother and German father, she was raised by the alien Cotati plant beings and trained as a martial artist and empath. Her storyline as the "Celestial Madonna" — destined to bear the Celestial Messiah — was a major 1970s Avengers arc. Englehart considered Mantis one of his most important creations. The MCU version (played by Pom Klementieff, introduced in Guardians Vol.2, 2017) is significantly reimagined as a naive empath raised by Ego. Hasbro Marvel Legends produced both versions.
