Jubilation Lee first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #244 (1989), created by Marc Silvestri and Chris Claremont. A Chinese-American teenager who can generate plasma bursts resembling fireworks from her hands, Jubilee was orphaned when her parents were murdered and found refuge with the X-Men. She became closely bonded with Wolverine, serving as a junior partner and ward throughout the early 1990s. Her prominent role in the landmark X-Men animated series (1992) made her one of the era's most recognizable X-Men. She was later transformed into a vampire. Toy Biz produced Jubilee in their 1990s X-Men lines.
