About This Figure
Moss Man from Mattel's Masters of the Universe Origins line (Modern Era), released circa 2020–2025.
The nostalgia-coded MOTU return — 5.5-inch vintage proportions with modern articulation added under the hood. Origins deliberately echoes the 1982 line while delivering enough movement for posing.
Moss Man is a 1985 Masters of the Universe Heroic Warrior covered in flocked green plant material with a pine scent — one of the first action figures with a scented texture feature. His design as a nature spirit makes him unique among the MOTU heroic cast. The original 1985 figure was a straight repaint of Beast Man with added flocking. The flocking on vintage Moss Man figures degrades over time, making well-preserved examples particularly collectible. Masters of the Universe Classics released an expanded Moss Man with improved sculpt in 2010.
