Pillman's LJN figure in the final WWF series represents a rare intersection of a figure released near the end of the LJN run for a performer who was genuinely at the frontier of modern wrestling character work — his Loose Cannon persona in WCW and subsequent WWE run ended with his sudden passing in 1997; Jakks Classic Superstars revisited him posthumously, and his figure catalog is small relative to his historical significance.
