Kane's unmasked, red-and-black Ruthless Aggression-era ring gear ties to WrestleMania XX, March 14, 2004 at Madison Square Garden, where he faced The Undertaker in the Deadman's storyline return from the retired American Badass biker gimmick, set up by Kane having buried Undertaker alive at Survivor Series 2003. The mask was already gone by then: Triple H beat Kane in a Mask versus World Heavyweight Championship match on Raw, June 23, 2003, forcing the unmasking on camera, after which Kane turned heel and chokeslammed tag partner Rob Van Dam.

Kane (Glenn Jacobs) is the masked monster and storyline half-brother of The Undertaker, introduced in 1997 as a supernatural force that could withstand fire. He won the WWE Championship and has been a fixture of WWE for over 25 years across multiple persona changes. Outside wrestling, Glenn Jacobs was elected Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee in 2018.
