Io Shirai is a Japanese wrestling legend who was one of the top joshi (women's) wrestlers in the world before signing with WWE and becoming NXT Women's Champion. Known for her moonsault and technical ability, she was widely considered the best women's wrestler in the world during her 2019–2021 peak. She later returned to Japan wrestling as Io Shirai.
