Nikolai Volkoff's heel Soviet gimmick — anthem-singing, anti-American heat — was perfectly suited to Cold War-era WWF storytelling, and his LJN figure (1985) captures him at his cultural-villain peak; as a tag team with The Iron Sheik (the Wild Samoans of their era's villain faction), collectors frequently pursue both figures together for display.
