Kurt Angle won the gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics with a broken neck, a fact that became the cornerstone of his wrestling character. He won the WWF/WWE Championship in his rookie year and later became TNA's most prominent title holder. His technical wrestling ability is considered among the best in modern history. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
