Sith Trooper stood behind glass at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019, the first physical look at The Rise of Skywalker's crimson-armored soldiers weeks before the film had even locked its marketing. Hasbro sold this First Edition through the con at $32, packaged in special sliding-window convention packaging that let shoppers see the sculpt without opening the box, then made it available again through Hasbro Pulse on September 10, 2019, for collectors who missed the floor. The reveal release carried five weapons: two blasters, a bladed axe, a heavy gun, and a gripping claw, three more than the standard retail figure would ship with once the movie opened wide.
