A reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi (Human-Human Fruit) and became one of the most beloved characters in One Piece. Chopper first appeared in One Piece Chapter 134 in 2000 during the Drum Island arc. Raised on Drum Island by the eccentric Dr. Hiriluk and later trained by Dr. Kureha, Chopper dreams of becoming a doctor capable of curing any disease in the world. His Devil Fruit allows him to transform between reindeer, humanoid, and hybrid forms, with the Rumble Ball drug enabling further transformations. Despite his cute appearance he is the Straw Hat crew's doctor and a capable fighter. Chopper is frequently cited as one of the most recognizable One Piece characters globally, and plush/figure versions have been enormously popular since the early 2000s.
