The over-muscled, neon-carded return of Star Wars to shelves — instantly recognizable for the buff proportions that made Kenner historians cringe and nostalgic collectors love in equal measure.
Jawas are the small, hooded scavengers of Tatooine who collect and sell droids and technology — their glowing yellow eyes beneath dark hoods and 'Utini!' war cry are immediately recognizable. The 1977 Kenner Jawa figure was one of the original 12 Star Wars figures and notably came in a vinyl cape variant (very early production, very rare) before being changed to a cloth-cape design. Vinyl cape Jawa is among the rarest and most valuable of all vintage Star Wars figures, with examples selling for thousands of dollars.
