TIE FIGHTER

Darth Vader's TIE Fighter comes from Kenner's original 1978 Star Wars die-cast line, part of the Die-Cast Series I assortment and sold carded on an action-figure-style cardback rather than boxed. It renders Darth Vader's TIE Advanced starfighter from the Death Star trench run at the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope: a grey-plastic cockpit pod holds a small seated Vader pilot figure, fixed in place by a plug connector. The same Series I assortment also included a plain, pilot-less die-cast TIE Fighter.
