Ponda Baba lands in the Galaxy wave straight out of the Mos Eisley Cantina, the scene from Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977 where the Aqualish spice runner shoves up against Luke Skywalker and pays for it when Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber takes his arm off. Hasbro's own product copy ties the figure directly to that confrontation and to his Rogue One tie-in backstory, dressing him in his tan cantina wrap alongside the character sculpt of partner Dr. Evazan close behind.
