The over-muscled, neon-carded return of Star Wars to shelves — instantly recognizable for the buff proportions that made Kenner historians cringe and nostalgic collectors love in equal measure.
The Death Star Droid (RA-7 protocol droid) appeared briefly in the original Star Wars (1977) aboard Jawas' Sandcrawler. Despite minimal screen time, it was included in the original Kenner 20-back figure assortment and is considered one of the more collectible early Star Wars figures. RA-7 type droids appear throughout the Star Wars universe.
