Cliffjumper's G1 figure (1984) shares a mold with Bumblebee — effectively a red Bumblebee with a spoiler — which makes the two figures natural companions in any G1 mini-vehicle display; his Volkswagen Beetle alt-mode and hotheaded personality made him one of the more distinctive early Autobots, and modern Generations, Classics, and War for Cybertron releases have revisited the character with significantly improved engineering.
