The Berzerker channels John Nord's debut as 'The Viking' on WWF Wrestling Challenge, taped February 16, 1991, when he threw jobber Doug Isley over the top rope for the count-out win that became his signature finish. A month later the character was renamed Berzerker and paired with manager Mr. Fuji, launching feuds with Davey Boy Smith and Jimmy Snuka; the horned helmet, sword, and shield look introduced here carried through his run into 1992-93.
