The character captured the WWF Intercontinental Championship in April 1999 before dropping it to Jeff Jarrett on the May 31, 1999 episode of Raw Is War. Per Ringside Collectibles and toy-press coverage, this Elite 39 release marked the persona's first mainline Mattel WWE figure.
