Jawa joined Kenner's large-scale Star Wars line in 1979's Wave 2, marketed under the 12-inch banner though the figure itself stands closer to eight inches tall. The figure depicts the hooded Tatooine scavenger who trades droids to Luke's family in A New Hope, wearing a removable cloth cloak over its poseable body. Unlike the character's 3.75-inch counterpart, this release carries no mechanical action feature, and it came with a laser rifle and a removable ammunition bandolier.
