Jawas are small, hooded scavengers native to Tatooine who collect and resell droids and technology from their massive Sandcrawler vehicles. Their glowing yellow eyes and chirping Jawaese language make them instantly recognizable. They were the first characters to encounter both R2-D2 and C-3PO in A New Hope.
