Battle Droid marches again as Trade Federation infantry from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace's 1999 invasion of Naboo, one of four figures in a Best Buy-exclusive Episode I wave of the Black Series Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary line. Hasbro unveiled the set at Fan First Friday on January 29, 2021, before it shipped that spring at roughly $24.99. The droid wears its standard tan deco with the backpack folded down, packaged on card art that recreates the original 1999-2000 Episode I toy line, and comes armed with a blaster.

The B1 Battle Droid is the standard infantry unit of the Separatist Droid Army, introduced in The Phantom Menace (1999) and appearing extensively in the Clone Wars animated series. Their comical incompetence in The Phantom Menace was a deliberate contrast to their sheer numerical dominance. The 'Roger Roger' catchphrase became iconic. Hasbro produced Battle Droid figures in large numbers across the prequel era, making them excellent army-building pieces. Clone Wars animated-style Battle Droids have a passionate collector base.
